This year, Robert Allen is inviting everyone to go #madformadcap. Showcasing the new Madcap Cottage collection for Robert Allen @Home, the textiles leader is taking the standard setup and turning it into a whimsical world full of all the riotous color and pattern designers Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke (aka the Madcap gents) are known for. Inspired by the allure of the past and a global sensibility directly gleaned from their travels, this new collection, called “A Collector’s Eye,” brings the world home. “We toured the great homes of Europe, attended auctions in New York and London and perused color-filled markets in India and China,” says Jason and John. “We distilled these experiences into our collection.”
Touches of worldly enchantment will be featured throughout the booth, but the real draw will be the mix-and-match gratis cocktail napkins in the new Madcap Cottage fabrics and a corresponding #mymadcapmix Instagram give-away. As an effort to spread their love of pattern play, Jason and John are challenging visitors to curate a set of napkins, then style that set (using provided props) and share the results with the tags #mymadcapmix and #robertallendesign. Each participant will leave with a set of cocktail napkins. The Insta winner will get a free consultation with Jason and John to customize a chair by Robert Allen Furniture in Madcap Cottage fabrics and trims.
