Hall of Fame Awards: Best Writing on a Design Blog

To nominate a blog, simply enter the name of the blog you would like to nominate in the comments box below. Each blog nominated for a category will be included in the selection process; additional nominations for a blog in the same category will have no effect, so once a blog is nominated for a category there is no reason to nominate it again.

For an overview of the awards process, please visit our Hall of Fame Awards page. Thank you for participating!

  1. Jennifer Boles is a design historian by nature and is hands down the BEST writer on any blog. I read The Peak of Chic everyday and learn so much from the content.

  2. Matt K says:

Erin Gates of “Elements of Style” has an inimitabe writing style that has justly garnered this belle of Boston a loyal fanbase. Readers are drawn in by her impeccable sense of style, and remain loyal followers for her honest personal reflections. She flows between funny anecdotes and design reviews so brilliantly that you realize you’re visiting her site for friendly advice as much as you are for guidance on how to incorporate animal prints into your living room. Read her blog, and you’ll see she’s as self-deprecating as she is beautiful, which makes her all the more authentic in her content. She might not think she’s perfect, but her writing sure as hell is.

  3. Ana antunes says:

What else can I say when this Matt K just stole every word we could say about her Elements of Style! Absolutely the best writing blog!

  4. Kathy Greaser says:

Dick Gentry always has something interesting to share at Gentry Connects. He shares his passion for everything here!

  5. diane says:

I enjoy not only the beautiful and custom handcrafted items and lovely and inspiring photos but also the interesting stories and personal insights on the Martin Pierce Custom Hardware blog. http://www.martinpierce.com/blog.

  6. Jenna says:

I really like the fun tone, inspiring ideas and beautiful photographs from the onlinefabricstore blog.

  7. sarah says:

Bar none, for writing… Quintessence! She is a true journalist! Consistently impresses. Some blogs you scan, Quintessence you read every.single.word

  8. Kate Fox says:

I nominate Love Where You Live, http://www.lovewhereyouliveblog.com — I have read her blog for over a year now and I am hooked. The blog is extremely well written and always has great pictures. Love Where You Live encourages readers to celebrate their own individual styles and embrace styles unfamiliar to them. It has opened my eyes to ideas that I would have never considered prior to reading her blog. Thank you.
