I was on my way to attend the first Design Blogger’s Conference in Los Angeles and to meet my cyber friend, idol and now business partner, Regina Garay, IRL (or In Real Life). I met Regina almost 3 years ago on Twitter. We started sharing and brainstorming social media marketing ideas. Regina invited me to teach a class with her at …

I found it to be geared much more to the full time interior designer and blogger, purely focused on business. Seriously there was no messing around here and I loved it!

The Pink Chandelier: Highlights from the Design Blogger Conference 2011

When I first heard about the Design Bloggers Conference, I was immediately excited to attend. I’ve only been blogging for a year and a half and I was eager to get tips on how I could improve my skills and The Pink Chandelier. This conference was specifically for bloggers (most of whom are interior designers) who write about interior design. Many of the attendees were people I have come to know through Twitter, Facebook or by following their blogs.

Irene Turner: Design Bloggers Conference: Inspiration and Connection

Last week I attended the Design Blogging Conference in LA. I’ve been blogging now for a year and four months…yes, I’m counting. Sometimes I wonder why? It takes time, thought and creative inspiration to blog twice a week, every week, rain or shine, no matter how busy I am. And yes, there are people who post everyday, but that would not be me. I went because I wanted to find out what my peers think of this fairly new phenomenon…

For the last few weeks I’ve been talking to anyone who would listen to me about this design bloggers conference that I was attending. It was a packed 3-day schedule at the Sofitel Hotel in West Hollywood. The event was organized by Adam Japko of Design Sherpa and author of Wine Zag blog. Adam served us champagne at 10:00 am in the morning — not your average conference, huh? Well, the back story is Adam is passionate about wine,
